Program Overview

The Co-op depends on the active involvement of every family.

The Child

• grows mindful of his/her actions and their effects on others
• learns to be aware of cause and effect
• develops the joy and skills of learning
• develops self-esteem while having an appreciation of others
• thrives under the attention of teachers and parents
• prepares for the discipline of kindergarten

The Family

• partners with the teacher in creating and implementing the curriculum
• shares talents with the teachers and children in the classroom
• provides support for children and teachers
• encourages the children to learn a second language
• promotes the understanding of and an appreciation for cultural diversity
• facilitates communication between children or teacher and child.

School Day Schedule

  8:45 AM           Working parents arrive
  9:00 -   9:30     Children arrive for supervised outside free play
  9:30 - 10:00     English circle time
10:00 - 10:45     Activity centers rotation
                              Art, Spanish, English, Music and Science
10:45 - 11:00     Wash hands and snack
11:00 - 11:15     Inside free play
11:15 - 11:20     Clean-up
11:20 - 11:45     Spanish circle time
11:45 - 12:00     Outside free play and pick up 

 

Extended Hours Schedule

12:00 - 12:30     Lunch
12:30 -   1:00     Story time
  1:00 -   3:00     Quiet Time, Indoor/Outdoor Activities
